ExplorePA 23 Episode Travel/ Education/ Reality series.

An exciting series about some off-the-beaten-path locations in Pennsylvania.

The challenge: cover many locations on a tight budget with a small crew.

The solution: cover locations quickly but efficiently and "fix it in Post." Also, use both professional and amateur videography and make the show look homogenous and professional on a level that could be aired nationally.

How-to "fix it in Post": multi-panel layering and compositing for not-so-pretty footage, using music appropriately to juice up flat areas by selecting sometimes unexpected tunes, making historical/ educational segments humorous, and using jump-cuts to keep viewers alert.

The outcome: 8 locations and numerous bumps per episode make these half-hours fly by and are great examples of "edutainment."
